Ingredients

  • ½ lb Shrimp
  • 2 servings Udon Noodles, vacuum pack
  • 1 cup Carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup Shiitake Mushroom, sliced
  • ½ medium Onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks Green Onion/Scallion, cut 2 inches long
  • 2 cloves Garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
  • Heat cooking oil over medium-high heat, add shrimp and stir-fry until both sides turn pink. Remove from the pan.
  • In the same pan, add more cooking oil if needed. Stir-fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
  • Add carrot and mushroom, cook until the carrot softens, stirring occasionally.
  • Add udon noodles, cooked shrimp, and sauce mixture to the pan. Toss everything together until well combined and let the flavors meld.
  • Add scallions and stir for 1 minute to infuse the flavors.
  • Serve the yaki udon immediately on a serving plate and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the pan is hot for the shrimp to sear perfectly, adjust sauce thickness if needed, taste noodles for preferred chewiness, use fresh garlic for maximum flavor, and feel free to swap veggies.
