Ingredients

  • 28 oz San Marzano Tomatoes, drained
  • 2 pieces Scallions, chopped
  • ½ pieces Red Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, grated
  • 1 pieces Jalapeno Pepper, sliced to taste
  • ⅓ cup Cilantro Leaves, fresh
  • ¾ teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Sweet Smoked Paprika
  • 1 pieces Lime, juiced
  • pinch Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Add the red onion, scallions, garlic, and jalapeno to the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until everything is evenly chopped.
  • Add the canned tomatoes, spices, and cilantro on top. Pour in the fresh lime juice.
  • Pulse a few times, checking the texture. Stop when you reach your preferred consistency. For chunkier salsa, do this step by hand.
  • Transfer the salsa to a bowl. Taste and adjust lime and sea salt until just right.
  • For a thinner salsa, stir in reserved tomato juices. Add more smoked paprika for a deeper flavor.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed lime juice for a noticeable flavor difference.
  • Adjust jalapeno according to your spice preference.
  • Fresh ingredients maximize flavor.
