Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Active-Dry Yeast
  • 3 ½ to 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 4 tablespoons Garlic Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • To taste none Flaky Sea Salt

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, stir together the water and melted butter. Add the milk and honey, mixing until smooth. Heat the mixture until it reaches about 110°F.
  • Pour the warmed liquid into the bowl of a stand mixer. Sprinkle the yeast on top and allow it to rest for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Incorporate 3 ½ cups of flour, salt, and garlic powder into the yeast mixture. Mix on medium-low speed until combined, adding more flour if needed.
  • Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Take the risen dough and roll it into a log. Slice into 15 pieces, roll each piece into an 8-inch rope and tie it into a knot. Place on the prepared baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes.
  • Bake the garlic knots for around 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Combine garlic butter ingredients and brush over the baked knots. Sprinkle with Parmesan and flaky sea salt.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh yeast and ensure there is enough space between each knot on the baking sheet.
