  • 2 pieces Apples, chopped
  • 2 sticks Celery, chopped small
  • 1 cup Red Grapes, seedless and cut into halves
  • ½ cup Walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

  • to taste Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir together until smooth and set aside.
  • Chop the apples and celery. Cut the grapes into halves and roughly chop the walnuts. Add all these ingredients to a large salad bowl.
  • Pour the prepared dressing over the salad ingredients in the bowl. Toss everything gently to ensure an even coating of the dressing.
  • Season the salad with salt and pepper to your taste. Toss once more for even seasoning.
  • Chill the salad in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes if you desire a cool, refreshing touch. Serve it fresh and enjoy.

Notes

  • For best results, use firm apples and serve fresh.
  • If stored, toss before serving to redistribute the dressing.
  • Toasted walnuts add extra flavor.
